Bandhan Bank’s Q3 report card on deposits and advances

Total deposits up 30% YoY to 71,188 cr in Q3; advances up 23% to Rs 80,255 cr.

Private lender Bandhan Bank provided provisional figures for the fiscal third quarter on its deposits and advances. Total deposits saw a 30% year-on-year jump while advances grew 23%.

Here are the highlights for the December quarter:

Customer deposits increased to Rs 71,188 crore at the end of the December quarter against Rs 54,908 crore a year ago. Total deposits was Rs 66,128 crore in the September quarter and grew 8% on a quarter-to-quarter basis.

Out of the total deposits, CASA deposits, a combination of current and saving accounts, rose 62% YoY to Rs 30,504 crore. Sequentially, it grew 21% as it stood at Rs 25,279 crore in the September quarter. CASA ratio recorded at 43% in the December quarter compared to 34% a year ago.

Loans and advances (On book+ Off Book + TLTRO) jumped 23% to touch Rs 80,255 crore in the December quarter against Rs 65,456 crore for the same period last year. The loans and advances registered 5% growth on a quarter-to-quarter basis.
