No mask? Bank guard fires at customer in Bareilly

A Bank of Baroda customer who tried to enter the branch in Bareilly without wearing a mask was fired at his leg by the security guard; bank extends support to the victim.

Acustomer who tried to enter the Bank of Baroda branch in Bareilly without wearing a mask had to pay a heavy price on Friday.

The customer, Rajesh Kumar, who got into an argument with the security guard, was fired at his leg as he refused to wear a mask, violating the Covid protocol.

The security guard was immediately sacked and arrested by the police.

Regretting the incident, Bank of Baroda in a statement said that they are conducting an internal investigation so that such incidents do not happen in future.

The injured person has been admitted in the district hospital and is reportedly out of danger.

Meanwhile, the bank has extended financial support to Rajesh’s family.
