Bank of Maharashtra is offering one of the lowest rate of interest on home loans as it seeks to attract new borrowers. The state-owned bank has reduced home loans rates by 20 basis points to 8.40%.
Recently, Bank of Baroda cut its home loan interest rate by 40 basis points to 8.50%. These two banks have bucked the trend even as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has increased the repo rate by 250 basis points to 6.50% since May 2022.
The lowest rate is offered to those borrowers who have high Cibil scores.
Bank of Maharashtra is also offering zero processing fees.
