Kaizad Bharucha is made HDFC Bank deputy MD

Kaizad Bharucha, the current executive director of HDFC Bank, has been elevated to the rank of MD; Bhavesh Zaveri is made executive director. 


HDFC Bank has appointed Kaizad Bharucha as deputy managing director, the lender said in an exchange filing. Bharucha is the current executive director of the bank. 

The bank has also appointed Bhavesh Zaveri as its executive director. HDFC Bank had sought Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) approval on these appointments.

Bharucha has over 35 years of experience as a banker. He has been associated with the bank since 1995. 

In his current position as executive director, Bharucha is responsible for wholesale banking covering areas of corporate banking, PSUs, capital & commodities markets, financial institutions, custody, mutual funds, global capability centre & financial sponsors coverage, and banks coverage.

At HDFC Bank, Zaveri is group head - operations, cash management & ATM product. In his current role, he is responsible for business and operations across the country.
