Ajith Kumar K K has taken charge as managing director & CEO of Dhanlaxmi Bank for a three-year period.  

Ajith Kumar replaces JK Shivan whose tenure ended on 29 January but the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) asked him to continue till his successor took charge. Shivan was the only wholetime director on the board of the bank.

Ajith Kumar K.K has over 36 years of experience with the Federal Bank in various facets of banking including credit, human resources, business and branch banking. He was the chief human resources officer at Federal Bank prior to this. He was also the director of Federal Operations & Services Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Federal Bank.

He is a graduate in Agriculture from Kerala Agricultural University and MBA from Cochin University of Science and Technology.
