Canara Bank said today it has regained complete access and controls to its official X page, @canarabank.

The state-run bank’s account on social media platform X was compromised on 23 June. 

“We are happy to place that with the help of the team at 'X', we have restored our page to connect with our customers,” the bank said.

The bank had earlier urged users not to post anything on its X page, which has 0.25 million followers. The compromised page showed advertisements from a cryptocurrency company.
