Rajneesh Karnatak assumes charge as executive director of Union Bank of India; he last served as CGM of Punjab National Bank.
Rajneesh Karnatak has joined Union Bank of India as executive director. He comes with a banking experience of 27 years, having last served as chief general manager of Punjab National Bank.
Karnatak also served as a general manager in the erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce, where he headed large corporate credit branches and verticals such as credit monitoring, digital banking and mid-corporate credit.
After the amalgamation of Oriental Bank of Commerce with Punjab National Bank, Karnatak started heading the credit review and monitoring division and corporate credit division.
Karnatak also served as a nominee director on behalf of Punjab National Bank on the board of PNB Housing Finance Ltd and ISARC (India SME Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd).
A post-graduate in commerce and a Certified Associate from Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), Karnatak carries with him credit appraisal skills including project funding and working capital funding along with risk management.
He was among the first batch of senior officers selected by the Bank Board Bureau for Leadership Development Program of IIM Bangaore & Egon Zehnder.
