Bank of Maharashtra organises ‘Mahabank Fintech Mahotsav’

Bank of Maharashtra is making efforts to expand its digital footprint. The public sector bank has organised Fintech Mahotsav at Lokmal, its head office in Pune.

Eight fintech companies participated on the first day of the programme. These included Easebuzz, Gnani innovations, My Lead, One Card, Satsure, Schools Guide, Signzy Technologies and Loan Tap (Cyborg Intel).
“The bank’s board has taken a conscious decision to come up with a fintech startup policy in consonance with tech experts from premiere institutes and users at fields. Government has been taking proactive measures to bridge the technology gap in the PSBs and Bank of Maharashtra is in the forefront to expand its digital footprints,’ said Bank of Maharashtra managing director and CEO AS Rajeev.
Added Bank of Maharashtra executive director AB Vijaya Kumar, “PSBs are at the forefront in delivering services to the unserved and underserved and uplifting their lives. The transition of the PSBs has been remarkable and Bank of Maharashtra will strive to be the leader in terms of adopting digital services and to provide ease of doing banking services.”
The senior management led by Rajeev, Kumar and executive director Asheesh Pandey presided over the function. All general managers, the bank’s IT team and zonal managers were part of the virtual deliberation programme.
“The key for successful execution of technology driven services is a proper policy structure, tools, methodologies and its thoughtful implementation. There should be a proper coordination between head office and field functionaries as technology remains the only way forward for doing business with ease and proper compliance,” said Pandey, who is piloting the digital interventions.
“This is the beginning of the digital year for Bank of Maharashtra and all-out efforts are to be taken to label it as a digital bank with series of products and services in offering in the coming days,” added Pandey.
