Bengaluru-headquartered Canara Bank has launched a mobile banking app called ‘Canara ai1 – The Banking Super App’.
Positioned as a one stop solution, the app has over 250 features consisting of the banking needs of its customers.
Canara Bank said that it eliminates the need of having multiple mobile apps working in silos for availing different specific services. About 3.5 million customers are already on the app.
“The core vision of the bank is e-transactions for everyone, everywhere, every time. The bank is leveraging technology to enable the customers to perform banking at their fingertips,” said Canara Bank managing director and chief executive officer LV Prabhakar.
The app has advanced features such as intuitive UI & UX with multiple themes and customisable menus and dashboards which can be personalised as per the user’s choice. It also offers Dark Theme to improve visual ergonomics, reduce eye strain, adjust brightness to current lighting conditions and facilitate screen usage in dark environments – all while conserving battery power.
The app is available in 11 Languages to cater to multiple sections of Indian society in their preferred language.
It also provides solution to banking and lifestyle needs. These include compare & shop, payment of utility bills, booking of flight, hotel and cabs, payments (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS in a single page), opening deposits andits management, loan repayment, investment services like mutual fund, insurance and demat services, 26AS & account statements interest certificates for tax filing purpose and many more. It also caters to various social security schemes such as PPF account, Sukanya Samruddhi accounts, senior citizens savings account and Kisan Vikas Patra, PMJJBY, PMSBY & APY along with nominee management.
Non-bank customers can also use UPI and the shopping facility of the app. They can open their account digitally in real time with video KYC.
The app also has security features like device binding, malware detection, detection of remote administration tools and dynamic keyboard.
